We’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong Shopify experience to join a growing technology team building customer-facing ecommerce solutions and internal platforms.

This role would suit someone from a Shopify agency, ecommerce consultancy or in-house Shopify development background who enjoys solving problems, taking ownership and delivering high-quality software.

You’ll work across Shopify-based systems, customer experiences and internal products, collaborating with a small engineering team that values autonomy, quality and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, building and maintaining Shopify-based solutions and integrations
• Developing customer-facing features and internal systems
• Working across Shopify themes, custom functionality and third-party integrations
• Contributing to software projects using Python, React and related technologies where required
• Taking ownership of problems from discovery through to delivery
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
• Working closely with Product, QA, Data and Operations teams

What we’re looking for

• Commercial Shopify development experience
• Strong understanding of Shopify architecture and ecommerce workflows
• Experience building and maintaining Shopify themes and custom functionality
• Agency, consultancy or fast-paced ecommerce experience preferred
• Solid JavaScript development skills
• Experience working with APIs and integrations
• Familiarity with Git and pull request workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Nice to have

• React experience
• Python experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to observability, monitoring and production support
