Where we came from.
We never set out to build another recruitment business. We built djr because organisations needed a partner who genuinely understood technology delivery. A partner who understands the technology, the people and what it takes to build successful Product Engineering, Data & AI, Microsoft Business Applications and Change & Transformation capability.
That belief hasn’t changed.
What has changed is the scale of what we do. Today we help organisations build that capability they need through specialist talent, delivery teams and outcome led engagements, but our focus remains exactly the same: helping clients deliver technology programmes that create real business value.

Danny founded djr with a simple belief: technology doesn’t create successful programmes. The people behind them do.
For more than two decades, he’s specialised in the Microsoft ecosystem, partnering with organisations of every size, from ambitious startups to FTSE 100 businesses, helping them solve complex technology challenges through exceptional Product Engineering, Data & AI, Microsoft Business Applications and Change & Transformation capability.
Today, Danny leads the strategic direction of djr, working closely with clients to understand the challenges behind their technology programmes and helping them build the capability needed to deliver them successfully. His approach has always been rooted in honest advice, long term relationships and a relentless focus on delivering real business value.
Whether it’s supporting a single strategic hire, building an entire delivery team or leading an outcome led engagement, Danny’s focus remains exactly the same: helping organisations turn technology ambition into successful delivery.
Outside of work, Danny enjoys spending time with his family, watching the Arsenal and playing golf, although not always in that order.
Symah joined djr to build the operational capability behind a growing business, ensuring the foundations are in place for exceptional service, strong governance and sustainable growth.
With extensive experience across recruitment operations, compliance and business process improvement, Symah has worked with high growth businesses to develop the systems, processes and operational frameworks that allow teams to perform at their best. From contractor onboarding and compliance to process optimisation and operational strategy, she understands that great delivery starts with great operations.
Today, Symah is responsible for strengthening the operational backbone of djr, helping create a seamless experience for clients, contractors and consultants alike. Her focus is on building scalable processes, maintaining the highest compliance standards and ensuring the business continues to grow without ever compromising on quality.
Outside of work, Symah enjoys spending time with her young family, discovering new places to eat and making the most of every opportunity to travel.
Joe leads djr’s Contract Recruitment division, helping organisations build the capability they need to deliver critical technology programmes.
Specialising in Product Engineering, Data & AI, Microsoft Business Applications and Change & Transformation, Joe has built a reputation for moving quickly without compromising on quality. Whether it’s scaling an engineering function, assembling a delivery team or securing hard to find specialist talent, his focus is always on helping clients keep their programmes moving.
Joe is known for building long term relationships based on trust, honesty and consistent delivery. He works closely with organisations ranging from high growth businesses to large enterprises, helping them solve technology challenges through exceptional contract talent.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys travelling, socialising with friends and following Newcastle United. His rugby boots have now been hung up following injury, although he’ll happily tell you he could still do a job if needed.
Dan leads djr’s Permanent Recruitment division, helping organisations build long term technology capability through exceptional people.
Specialising in Product Engineering, Data & AI, Microsoft Business Applications and Change & Transformation, Dan partners with organisations to identify the talent that will shape their future. He understands that permanent hiring isn’t just about filling a role. It’s about finding people who strengthen teams, elevate engineering standards and make a lasting impact.
Known for his honest approach and ability to build genuine relationships, Dan works closely with both clients and candidates to ensure every appointment is the right long-term fit. His focus is always on helping organisations build stronger teams and giving exceptional people the opportunity to do their best work.
Outside of work, Dan is a huge film fan, enjoys live music and festivals, spends plenty of time walking his dog and has another claim to fame… he’s appeared in EastEnders multiple times as the young Phil Mitchell. If he’s not on screen, you’ll probably find him in the gym, watching the boxing or planning his next adventure.
